Private Industry Construction Project Management

LAURA ALEXANDER'S ROLE TITLE: Interior Designer and Assistant Project Manager for the President, David Hoff of Robert Gray Partners, Inc.

RESPONSIILITIES:  Worked closely with architect and client on customer building requirements and layout.  Selected interior and exterior choices for paint, windows, flooring, cabinetry, toilets, accessories, appliances.

Clio Techologies

New construction of two-story manufacturing and sales building. (4) assembly rooms, (1) large machining room, (4) offices, (4) bathrooms, (1) conference room, (2) low dock doors.

This client was located 3,000 miles away, I pre-arranged courtesey showings at client's local paint, flooring, and laminant suppliers.  The client had the convenience of traveling no more than five miles to a supplier, who had pulled out my selected items for him to view and choose from.  Initially my client wanted his building to be neon orange and bright white, I was able to convince him of softer tones.

I used a special concrete paint in white for the entire warehouse area to reduce the amount of energy needed for lighting. Lights are not turned on until 4PM as a result.

Columbia Roofing

New construction of a two-story sales, planning, and storage warehouse for Columbia Roofing, Tualatin, Oregon.

(1) warehouse, (9) offices, (1) showroom, (4) dock doors

This client was adamant as to his design ideas being implemented.  Incorporating those ideas was easy.  One idea however was worth negotiating, he wanted the building to be neon yellow with large bright red cones pointing upward.  After photoshopping his ideal design and presenting my version he was certainly glad that he had an opportunity to prevent a regretful design idea.

Mt. Angel Abbey Bell Tower Addition

New construction of 112' concrete tilt-up bell tower.  Exciting video of construction located here.

Kassboher All Terain Vehicles, Inc.

One-story new construction building with two separate business suites with warehouses. Each unit has (1) kitchen, (3) offices, (1) warehouse, (2) bathrooms.

This client and co-tenant Haulaway Containers, wanted a clean look and energy savings.  The interior space is designed with an executive style at a reasonable cost.  The warehouse interior is entirely white to reflect light and reduce the cost of overhead light usage.
